Add Joy to the Holidays with Holiday Greetings

Greetings are the best means to express your feelings. Where greeting cards express your feeling with the help of images and quotations and custom text, these also are an excellent means to be present with someone even if you are away from him or her. It is also the best means to convey your emotions and make aware the other persons how you feel about him or her. Holiday greetings are also in vogue these days following Christmas holidays.

Greetings have though evolved over a period of time and now people have started preferring online greetings rather than paper greeting. Where paper greetings were popular in the past years, there is a sudden shower of online greetings options these days. The greatest advantage about online greetings is that it can be customized at will of the presenter. A person can customize the greetings with respect to the overall theme, size, cover image as well as the text inside the greeting. Besides, the online greetings also gives you the advantage to send it on a designated date or time, so it is like you can customize a greeting and the online greetings provider will make sure that it is delivered to your friend or the loved one on the required date eve if your forget to send it.

Apart from this the online holiday greetings gives you the advantage that you can order a greeting by choosing from a range of greetings available online and the greeting will be delivered giving a surprise to the recipient. So order one today.

thank you!

If you happened to read the preceding entry I posted here, you can imagine how big my frustration was on the successful yet busted domain purchase I made to blogger a week ago. Successful... because, it was successfully registered with Godaddy.com, the authorized domain seller and supposedly be automatically configured to work with Google Apps but they seemed to mess up with it.

Ok, so this is what happened...
07 of Spetember, I tried to buy a custom domain for this page via blogger. Initially, I wanted to use onlinememorylane.com for my domain but the prompt says it's no longer available. So I changed it to ngjaniola.com and it worked. After a while I received successive mails from blogger stating the confirmation of the successful domain purchase as well as this order receipt.

Shipping Status Qty Item Price
Digital delivery 1 Domain Registration onlinememorylane.com - 1 year registration for onlinememorylane.com, powered by GoDaddy.com $10.00
I wonder why onlinememorylane.com when the successful registration was for ngjaniola.com..(??) I was confused but not really that much till the next 3 days when that redirection alert came up that resulted to an ERROR 404 message. This message that I so frustratingly tried to figure out is what prompted me to write the post here. My disappointment from blogger took the best out of me that day that all I just wanted to do is to revert my address back to where it was and no longer give a damn care to such domain thing.

This morning, as we we're talking, I asked my boyfriend JK [in the US] if he can possibly call Google Apps or Godaddy.com for me to ask if there's any way I can request for a refund since I already have reverted my URL to blogspot. He did and a certain Nat from Godaddy.com told him that the domain onlinememorylane.com is currently registered and active under their control.... and ngjaniola.com had wandered elsewhere?!! Haha... this is funny! He actually mentioned the name of the seller earlier but it now slipped my mind.

Grrrr!!!! Isn't this terrible?

Well, anyway it really doesn't matter now. Nat was so kind to have informed us that my valid domain was onlinememorylane.com and the other one was a trash. Hmm... so be it! So, my so..... patient BF hanged up the phone and started reconfiguring my so... hmm... "slippery?" domain, lol... while the Nancy [me] on the other side of the net was wondering whether he can make it or not... After a while, a message from him on my instant messenger popped up saying

"I AM THE GREATEST"...

Hahaha... amazing! just so smart of him cause he really made it work. Yahoooo! Nancy is really in her happiest this morning, lol! Now as you can see on the address bar, blogspot is no longer there.

Thank you so much, sweetheart. You're really the greatest! Love you so much!!

My apology to my online friends and those who have tried to drop by here lately. I am having trouble with blogger recently... seems like they're acting up again. Last week I successfully had purchased a custom domain for this page from them and and was told to be automatically redirected in 3 days. Yesterday, as I tried accessing my old blogspot hosted address which was the www.onlinememorylane.blogspot.com , this is what the blogger has prompted:

You're about to be redirected

The blog that used to be here is now at http://www.ngjaniola.com
Do you wish to be redirected?

An ERROR 404 prompt appears on the screen as I clicked the YES button. So what is this? I asked myself and tried it again anyway thinking that it would work out right after several attempts but no. Should I be bothered with this? YES! There's nowhere to find my blog for long hours no matter how I tried. I've been feeling so frantic since yesterday. Been trying like hell to find out where to address my issue and who to talk to since blogger don't really have a live tech support to immediately respond to people's queries and concerns. This is so disappointing! I have received purchase order receipt in my mail but can't even find it posted to my Google Apps account while they already have successfully subtracted $10 from my visa account. So what on earth is going on here? I mean I have carefully followed every step to do it right on my part. Something is inappropriate from their end. I honestly don't know what else to do here. I already have tried reaching out to them through their help desk as well as posting my issue to their forum section but that doesn't really answer my problem. The links they indicated in the purchase order receipt where I am suppose to track my order is not working either. That really pissed me off!
I mean for me this is plain and simple stupidity... or...should I say... graft??

Well unless they would communicate and point it out what the real problem is, if there's any not only to me because I believe many had encountered the same trouble based on what I have read from their forum section. Cause I really don't think its justifiable for anybody to have spend any amount be it small or big for something in a position of good trust only to get screwed up in the end.

This is not a fair practice. I know there are numbers of blogger out there who have experience different issues with blogger. I wish they could straightened things up. Well for me, if I can't get what I payed for from them, it is only apt to ask for a refund and that's what I'm gonna be doing next unless they have my issue fixed.

By the way, I wanna extend my appreciation to some good friends from here. They were those I turned to for some help and advice when I needed it most this morning before I decided to have my blog reverted to blogspot.

Thanks to:

Ruby of Pinaymommyonline.com...

Rubs, damo gid salamat (thank you so much) for your helpful opinions and for being so warm. You're such a mommy!

To Lainy of Lainy's Musings ...

sis, for your time alone, thank you. I may still consider what you have suggested earlier...

And to my dear JK...

for always being there... Hon, I know we have personal issues too lately but then you never failed to help me out in any form of problem that comes my way. Thank you for being nice even if I'm not, sometimes...oopps!! (personal... lol!)

Anyways, I guess I already have spit enough of my frustrations here. That would be all for now...

I wish you all a happy weekend!!

'till then.

This week is such a busy one for me. My sister and her kids just moved into my house few days ago and that wraps up the big adjustments I have to make to my timetable. They used to have a place at the Japanese restaurant they are running... however, their baby who is just over a month old needs some quiet place to stay so I offered them to move in. Now I have to settle myself in one of the rooms upstairs where I can be by myself when I need to especially when I have to work on my blogs. My time is shortened, though but I believe everything will be back to usual. It may just take a little while.

worry free online shopping

Doing different online activities is what I do everyday. Blogging, making money online and talking to my boyfriend to mention a few. Internet became our primary communication tool since we both live miles away from each other. Despite the distance and time difference, we see to it that we spend time for each other before the day ends as long as we both can.

One day out of the blue, in one of our conversations, he initiated sending me links of an online stores from the United States. "What am I suppose to do with this pages?", I asked myself. Never had the idea that he's thinking of buying something online for me. We both enjoyed the time as we went on shopping only to find out that the store cannot be able to ship the item we both agreed to purchase direct to where my location is. Sigh! That was so frustrating... that could have been my first online shopping experience.

This morning, I found out about MyUS.com website; an international package forwarding service. If any of you is having the same experience like i do, I guess this is what we need. A reliable and friendly shipping agent to manage our mails, packages and more for our convenience. All we need to do is to sign up for our personal US mailing address, have all our purchases and mail sent to the same exact address and let the shipping agent do the rest. You really have nothing to worry with their real time monitoring access of your incoming mailed items. So with package and mail forwarding service, we can now shop from any companies worldwide even if they do not ship overseas. I can't wait to try this one. Why don't you check out the site to sign up for your own US mailing address now too!

customer satisfaction based host rating system

Reputable web hosting is what you need when you want to make your website viewable for everyone on the world wide web to see. So, what exactly is web hosting? It is a necessity to any web site. It is the physical location of the web site on the internet.

A web host is a company that has computers that provides the services needed for web sites to be viewed on the world wide web 24/7. These computers are commonly called a server, on which the web site resides. Once you've decided to get your business online, you need a web site that is accessible to the general internet public. This means that you need web pages on a computer that is connected to the internet which can "host" your domain, hold your pages, and have the proper programs for feeding the public your information 24 hours a day. This is what web hosting companies do and selecting the right host is important because you can waste valuable time and if you don't get it right your customers may have
problems accessing to your domain. With this simple overview you can avoid many of the pitfalls and make finding reliable web site hosting companies a more straightforward process.

Choosing a host for your website is not easy when you are an Internet newbie. Should you go for the most expensive on the basis that you get what you pay for or should you go for the cheapest because saving money is a priority while you are getting your business running?

While web hosting has become a very competitive business in the industry, many rating sites like Web Hosting Rating is trying to build the biggest accessible web hosting directory featuring complete information on all web hosting providers, all their web hosting plans, promotional deals, packages and discount coupons, including the unedited reviews by real customers.

... why every time they cut us off it always has to be 9 long hours (8am to 5pm). I'm talking about power outage here which we have had this morning. We just got it back. Although I'm really not interested to know but I just hope it wasn't that long cause it really drives me nuts staring at the ceiling trying to figure out of something to do while unconnected. Geezz... I wasn't even able to make a cup of coffee... What a terrible day!

The thing that I hate most about it... is the missed opp from SS which I hardly tried to complete before they can shut me off but **** they still managed to beat me..lol! So what can I say?!!

However I am still thankful and happy now that it's finally back... I guess that's the least thing that I can do. Sad to say but I really can't imagine life without the Internet. I wish I am not this addicted to being online but... ah--ahh--- I doubt it! Tsk...tsk..tsk...!

PR 2 II

Surprise! surprise! surprise!

Yep... It such a big pleasant surprise for me to have my PR back after losing it 4 months ago. I was sitting here one night while patiently chasing for opportunities from SS when I came to think of checking out mine and JK's page. I remember he told me that we got our page rank back. So I dropped by to confirm using the PR checker found at the left sidebar on our page. It's back indeed! After awhile, I tried checking my other 2 pages as well and that Rank of 2 for Just the way it is... came out to my surprise... Wow! I can't believe it... I rechecked the URL I keyed in to see if I typed it out right...lol! That exactly was my site's URL and I got my page rank back ... That was really great! Don't even expect Google to consider this site ranked for the second time. This is simply fantastic!

Right now, I am still trying to savor the feeling while enjoying looking at that little green button at my sidebar. It dropped down to 2 tho... It used to be 3 but it really doesn't matter for now. The important thing is, I won it back and I wanna just work for it from there to keep it up. I, of course wanted to see it moving up... but all in time.

Thanks to GOOGLE!

Time to catch some rest for now... I can't wait to be lying in bed. I mean on a real bed?? Yep! Cause since I moved into this house for four months now, I used to sleep on a couch where it's conveniently situated near my PC... I sometimes even do online activities while laying on the couch till I get dozed...so it leaves the bedroom upstairs empty (a friend occupies the other one since it's a 2-bedroom house). So tonight, I gotta be sleeping there. This afternoon I put up two-toned curtains, matted the floor and spread some new soft sheets to make it a little cozy and comfy. Hmm... can't wait to just lay down, free my mind and have some harmonious dreams...

Goodnight everyone...

Have a wonderful day to others...

and a pleasant weekend ahead to all!

My roommate and I once: oh..it's not going to be once coz we actually have lots of moments together with my room mates during my college days. To mention a few, we love to watch movies...(there were 6 of us and most of us have same class schedules), hang out in a park most Fridays, dine together and a whole lot more...

Never in my life have I: traveled outside the country.

High school was: school - - - house - - - school rule!

When I’m nervous: I sweat excessively...lol!

My hair: is off shoulder in length and a combination of brown and black in color.

When I was 5: I don't remember exactly what I used to do but I definitely lived this age accordingly like many kids did.

When I turn my head left: it's our stairway that I see.

I should be: doing updates on my pages... the last time I did was 2 days ago.

By this time next year: I probably be out of the country if things works out as planned.

My favorite aunt is: Aunt Edna (my Mom's youngest sister) but she's now in heaven and I"m missing her so much.

I have a hard time understanding: why is there such "GREED" which makes people hurt people.

You know I like you if: you act as yourself and behave accordingly.

My ideal breakfast is: I really don't eat breakfast but if I do, I would prefer all that goes with fried rice and egg like sausage, hotdogs, fried bangus, tapa and pritong manok.

If you visit my home town: you gotta be in a perfect vacation spot. Panagsama Beach here in Cebu has a lot to offer... amazing dive spots, beaches , nature parks and a whole lot more nature has to offer.

If you spend the night at my house: ohh.. try me not. I can stay up all night if anyone wishes to talk to me.

The animal I would like to see flying besides birds: are school of fish in different size and color. That would be amazing!

Last night I: have had Katsudon for dinner. It's a Japanese steamed rice topped with pork, egg and oh, I'm not familiar with the sauce but it tastes real good!

A better name for me would be: any pretty name but just like what Lynn says I can't think of any other name that would suit me best other than Nancy.

I’ve been told I look like: Gillian... who starred one of the Asian nobelas (can't remember) aired in ABS-CBN's primetime bida... hahaha...

If I could have any car, it would be: A pick up truck (for everybody and for out of town trips! It always feels great to have a fun ride together with your family...)

Well, these are all what Lynn wants to ask about me. Thanks, sis! This is fun to do.

I'm tagging along Mel, Steve & Emz and Anneberly.

Sigh! What a day I have had today! It started just fine with the usual talk with JK. It's usually how it has been. He's always there everytime I wake up in the morning... I never fail to receive off line messages from him every time I sign in to YM telling that he's home, he's missing me, wondering if I'm awake or still sleeping, I love you(s) and etc. But to be quite honest, this time around, although we started the conversation right, we still ended up in a not so good tone. In short...we argued! Yes we do... and not only did it happen to us once but several times... but still here we are.

A few hours after he went to bed this afternoon, my belly's terribly acting up! And I really mean so bad that I couldn't move around, my body's stiff and my legs got numbed. I was by myself and no one to turn to. I tried buzzing, calling JK's computer and managed to left a few messages though I knew he was sound asleep but before he knew it, my body already consumed terrible pain. I got dizzy, sweats were running down my body and all just went blank. I didn't even know how long I was like dead unconscious but a call from JK woke me up. He sounded worried and scared. Yes he was! He wired my sister, Thea (from Pennsylvania to Cebu, lol...) just to inform her that I needed some help...and I really admired him for that. He's such a caring person and I am just so blessed to have him. No matter how hard things can be for us sometimes, despite my impatience, and even if I am in my most unlikeable self, he remains calm and never runs out of ways to lighten up the mood. That's what my man is made of... he never fails to turn me on!

should I complain?

Labels:

My relationship with JK has been an open book in this blogging community. I am glad that there are people whom we really don't personally know but have shown some interest and importance to whatever there is about us that we are trying to share. A long distance relationship like what we have now is one thing I least expected to happen to me but it did. It just did and sure it's just as tough but we are trying to make it work one way or another.

Sometime in July, I started working out on some international travel documents in case I may need it in the future. Of course I have to start with a passport but prior to that I need to secure some local clearances first like the Barangay and Police Clearance. For each request I need to state what my purpose was. For Abroad! The local police station here in Moalboal, Cebu was the last office I went through and I was dead shock to know how much do I need to pay for just a single sheet of paper... (I'm talking about the police clearance) request:

The officer: Unsay purpose mam? (Purpose please, mam?)
Me: For Abroad
The officer: Php 470.00 for the clearance plus 30.00 for the documentary stamp.

I was like... What!!! Are you for real?? Talagang sagad, ha...wala ng suklian!

I wanted to question why they charge that high but then again, even if I do, I know I won't be having a choice. Although I know from the start how "some" people do their "businesses" here being in a place mostly visited by foreign people... Pero pati ba naman government services ganun din?!! from what I understand kasi from here pag sinabing "for abroad" they would think...wow! dollar eto!! (haha). Sounds funny , huh but actually it's not! Disappointing! And I really mean so disappointing... I don't really complain...it's not my attitude. ... kaya lang hindi ba nakakainis ang ganun? Yung parang naisahan ka pero wala kang magawa? but I did. I still did pay for the so damn price kahit hindi medyo kundi talagang mabigat yun sa dibdib ko. Sigh!! I really wish I was in Davao when I did. Dito kasi from what I have observed from people with the same experience, when it comes to travel document processing especially for abroad, lahat dollar priced, daig pa ang EVAT (Extended Value Added Tax) ni Presidente Gloria... Hello... hindi kaya kami foreigner, ano!

Tsk..tsk..tsk... hayy....ewan ko ba!!!

***This is not to offend anyone but come to think of it... They simply were just trying to impart the other side of the face of a public servant the way most affected people perceived it. I guess you know what I mean!

*** To my foreign readers... I regret to use some vernacular words in this post... but sometimes feeling can be best expressed when it's locally articulated.

Hi...

Someone's very dear to me is turning a year older and celebrating his birthday today. I feel a bit sad coz we could have had celebrated this occasion in one place together if only things happened the JK and Nancy's way. But I always believe things has to happen in its own ways and time. We still have each other, tho. We still somehow had some fun talking online, sharing same thoughts like we always do.

Once he asked me... what made me love him... and I simply told him... it's because he is what he is. I knew he wasn't satisfied with the answer I gave him. But sweetheart, you are a very wonderful person, with a soft and a very warm heart. I know you're not perfect... No one is! You got every share of life's miseries no one could ever imagine but still you manage to teach me how to live a hopeful life. You taught me how to take things and and let them happen the positive and the subtle way. For me you're truly a man and I love you... I really do!
