Best thing about being a Filipino (pagdating sa kainan!):

Merienda. Where else is it normal to eat 5 times a day? (Ay eto..hindi lang pinoy na pinoy kundi akong- ako ito!) hmm.. I love having merienda and these are among my favorites:

Pansit palabok

Sawsawan. Assorted sauces that guarantee freedom of choice, enough room for experimentation and maximum tolerance for diverse tastes. Famous pinoy sawsawan are toyo't calamansi (soy sauce & lime) , suka at sili (vinegar with chili) and patis.

Fiesta. Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow is just another day, shrugs the poor man who, once a year, honors a patron saint with this sumptuous, no-holds-barred spread. It's a Pinoy celebration at its pious and riotous best.

Kamayan style. To eat with one's hand and eschew spoon, fork and table manners--ah, heaven!

Street food: Barbecue, lugaw, banana-cue, fishballs, IUD (chicken entrails), adidas (chicken feet), warm taho. Forget hepatitis; here's cheap, tasty food with gritty ambience.

Whew! Felt so relieved now that I'm finally done posting all the tasks assigned to me by SS and SR. I've been writing reviews from here and there since last night and my brainy has been filtered real good...

now that is what we call "blogging like hell," LOL!

I know, I shouldn't be complaining...oh do I? No, I'm not.

Lately, I've read about some bloggers venting their frustrations through their posts about not having blogging opportunities coming their way. Hmm... I've been through that stage too. I did complain, yes... but I keep it to myself. True. Things finds its way to happen at its own pace like what it did to me now. So instead of grumping, why not just work and wait.

Aww... did I really said that??? Hmm... I'm not a patient type of person, either but...
I believe!
So I guess that's the right word there.

Last week when Google updated the page rankings, I got this page as one of the unfortunates to have lose it's share.

...or could it just be a mere inaccuracy? hmm...would you know? No...I can't really tell..

Anyway, before you can take it too far, I am simply wondering here... how Google manage to gave my page rank back that quick. It's been only 5 days since they last updated.

Now, I am not being phony here. Of course Google made me feel delighted today... seeing that green little button alive again for the third time, lol! Curious lang talaga ako...

My love to sports specially basketball grew when me and my younger brother has to compete who will hold the remote to control our TV. We only have one television set at home back then. He loves to watch sports channel while I was always hoping to watch the morning news. So as an older sister, I have to give way to avoid early morning argument since I noticed how he so much love to keep track to his favorite NBA team, the Chicago Bulls where of course the popular and the ever amazing Michael Jordan was playing with. Oh well, this has been the usual scenario in our house almost every morning before and since there's was nothing left for me to do, I pretty much find myself sitting and watching along with my brother while trying to enjoy the game he's watching as well... and eventually, I did.

There'd been too many highlights to enumerate and too many brilliant plays to count but to bring back some of the fun and memories, here's few of Air Jordan's top amazing moves as he reigns the ring being the world's most dominant basketball player of the 90s'. Hope you enjoy this one.

Was reading some blog entries this morning and came across with two write ups regarding PR. One was cheerfully having it while the other was losing it.

Actually, I don't know now how else to feel about gaining and losing a page rank! Somewhere from last month I gained a page rank of 2 back from Google which I momentarily enjoyed for only a couple of weeks. This morning as I turned my page on, I noticed that it's gone again... for the second time. Although, it really didn't surprised me at all. When I had my URL changed, a friend warned me about how a new redirected domain works...

"Start from scratch!"... just like literally starting a new blog. As I have understood relevant traffic, page rank and other SE (Search Engine) blog qualifications will be counted back to zero. Hmm... if that's the case, I think I could somehow consider Google taking back my PR for that matter.

Anyways, congratulations to those who had just got their page(s) ranked however, to those who had so cheerlessly lose it... well there will always be a next time! :-)

I'm sitting here talking to JK while waiting for our power company to shut us off. They're suppose to cut our power out at 8am as they publicly announced the other day but it's been almost 2 hours after 8. Hmm..this must be a wonder, lol! (at least for me).

Who would want some power interruption for one whole day? Ah--ahh...not me! they already did yesterday. Don't you think two consecutive days without power is too much? Oh yeah...Definitely!

were a mix of good and not so good days...

Starting off with my morning today. For me it's kinda new. New in the sense that it was the first morning I could remember that JK wasn't there when I woke up. My waking hour is his off from work. So we definitely spend time with each other most of his nights and half of my day from morning till mid day... everyday! Weekends are another story, lol!

The not so good part was yesterday... I woke up on the other side of the bed.
The issue: Nancy's crankiness!
The cause: problem...problem... and a whole lot of unending problem!
Took it on to my boyfriend. We argued a little but at the end of the day, we still had it straightened out. My boyfriend is the most considerate man I've ever met. That is one reason that keeps our relationship intact despite the distance.

Anyways, the good thing is the fact that I'm still alive!
Thanks to God! He made me a wonderful pair of eyes that easily shed tears. It usually unburdens my heart every time I do and somehow it makes me realize that there's still life ahead for me to live.

So that's about it...
I guess my blogging week ends here for now...
Another power interruption were set to make me IDLE for the next 2 days. Aww!!!
That is one thing I really don't like about this place...

While I was still living with my family in the province before, we use to listen to one FM radio station that plays both my mother and my late father's favorite which were classic and oldies music. These songs eventually became the whole family's favorite music to listen to every Sunday. They're melodies from Matt Monroe, Frank Senatra, Engelbert Humperdinck, Tom Jones, Patti Page, Connie Francis and other renowned singers of their ages. You think you could imagine these artists? lol! Well, you can ask me to join a "name the tune" contest featuring their songs and I would surely win, lol!

Anyways, I am sitting here, talking to JK and blogging at the same time while hearing these music at the background, somewhere from my neighbors' radio sets. It simply brings back the memories I used to share with my family esp. my late father. It's really him that reminds me so much of those songs...I'm missing him even so much more now.

JK and I both love pictures. Although he's more persistent and eager than I am. He's so quick to snap regardless of time and occasion. He even loves to take screen shots of us while we do our ordinary conversations everyday.

Last weekend, I got this chance to steal some screen shots of him while he baby sit the so gentle and charming baby Alex, the grandson of his. I can see how his heart melts while cuddling the baby onto his arms. The baby indeed added more color and fun to the conversations we have had for the entire weekend.

If you happened to read the preceding entry I posted here, you can imagine how big my frustration was on the successful yet busted domain purchase I made to blogger a week ago. Successful... because, it was successfully registered with Godaddy.com, the authorized domain seller and supposedly be automatically configured to work with Google Apps but they seemed to mess up with it.

Ok, so this is what happened...
07 of Spetember, I tried to buy a custom domain for this page via blogger. Initially, I wanted to use onlinememorylane.com for my domain but the prompt says it's no longer available. So I changed it to ngjaniola.com and it worked. After a while I received successive mails from blogger stating the confirmation of the successful domain purchase as well as this order receipt.

I wonder why onlinememorylane.com when the successful registration was for ngjaniola.com..(??) I was confused but not really that much till the next 3 days when that redirection alert came up that resulted to an ERROR 404 message. This message that I so frustratingly tried to figure out is what prompted me to write the post here. My disappointment from blogger took the best out of me that day that all I just wanted to do is to revert my address back to where it was and no longer give a damn care to such domain thing.

This morning, as we we're talking, I asked my boyfriend JK [in the US] if he can possibly call Google Apps or Godaddy.com for me to ask if there's any way I can request for a refund since I already have reverted my URL to blogspot. He did and a certain Nat from Godaddy.com told him that the domain onlinememorylane.com is currently registered and active under their control.... and ngjaniola.com had wandered elsewhere?!! Haha... this is funny! He actually mentioned the name of the seller earlier but it now slipped my mind.

Grrrr!!!! Isn't this terrible?

Well, anyway it really doesn't matter now. Nat was so kind to have informed us that my valid domain was onlinememorylane.com and the other one was a trash. Hmm... so be it! So, my so..... patient BF hanged up the phone and started reconfiguring my so... hmm... "slippery?" domain, lol... while the Nancy [me] on the other side of the net was wondering whether he can make it or not... After a while, a message from him on my instant messenger popped up saying

"I AM THE GREATEST"...

Hahaha... amazing! just so smart of him cause he really made it work. Yahoooo! Nancy is really in her happiest this morning, lol! Now as you can see on the address bar, blogspot is no longer there.
