Add Joy to the Holidays with Holiday Greetings

Greetings are the best means to express your feelings. Where greeting cards express your feeling with the help of images and quotations and custom text, these also are an excellent means to be present with someone even if you are away from him or her. It is also the best means to convey your emotions and make aware the other persons how you feel about him or her. Holiday greetings are also in vogue these days following Christmas holidays.

Greetings have though evolved over a period of time and now people have started preferring online greetings rather than paper greeting. Where paper greetings were popular in the past years, there is a sudden shower of online greetings options these days. The greatest advantage about online greetings is that it can be customized at will of the presenter. A person can customize the greetings with respect to the overall theme, size, cover image as well as the text inside the greeting. Besides, the online greetings also gives you the advantage to send it on a designated date or time, so it is like you can customize a greeting and the online greetings provider will make sure that it is delivered to your friend or the loved one on the required date eve if your forget to send it.

Apart from this the online holiday greetings gives you the advantage that you can order a greeting by choosing from a range of greetings available online and the greeting will be delivered giving a surprise to the recipient. So order one today.

I prefer to listen to Anne Murray's songs especially during the night and more so when I m alone. I don't know about her that much other than being a hit maker of the 70s and 80s. She just got an outstanding set of pipes and a soulful lineup of pop and contemporary music that you will never get tired of listening over and over. One of my favorite is her version of Michael Martin Murphy's "What's Forever For." As I was looking for a music video from YouTube last night I also tried to watch some other artist's version and found Billy Gilman's exceptional and tear jerking rendition of the song. Whatta voice!

I didn't know that the song became an official sountrack of Helen Hunt and Kevin Spacey's Pay it Forward which I believe a must-see movie too. Unfortunately the embedding of the video was being disabled so I picked another one instead. But for those who still want the OST version, you can watch the video here.

I've been looking at people /And how they change with the times/ And lately all I've been seein' are people/ That would love a way of losing their minds/ Or maybe it's me that's gone crazy/ 'Cause I can't understand why/ All these people Keep hurting each other/ Good love is so hard to come by/ So what's the glory in livin'/ Doesn't anybody ever stay together anymore/ And if love never lasts forever/ Tell me what's forever for./ I've been listening to people/ And they say love is the key/ It's not my way to let them lead me astray/ It's only that I wanna believe/ But I see love hungry people/ Trying their best to survive/ While in their heads Is a dying romance/ They don't even try to keep it alive/ So what's the glory in livin'/ Doesn't anybody ever stay together anymore/ And if love never lasts forever/ Tell me what's forever for./ And if love never lasts forever/ Tell me what's forever for.

charter internet service intensified

One of the fastest Internet Service Provider in the US has once again proven its competency in the computer market and industry. With its kick off at St. Louis, Charter's newest Ultra 60 Mbps service will be rolled out to other areas along with other high-speed products all throughout the year.

This speed will enable customers to use the Internet in all new ways including gaming, movies, telecommuting with mega-files and much more at super high speeds. At 60 Mbps, the Internet is a completely different experience where you can multitask in ways like nobody ever did before. Not only that. Charter’s Ultra60 Mbps service is the first of the Phatband speeds that takes broadband to the next level. I'm sure hardcore web gamers like my JK and his son JD would love the Phatbands ability to download patches in record time and virtually eliminates lag in their gaming.

I am not much into gaming though but I so much love to blog that it drives me nuts whenever I lose my poor Internet connection every now and then just like what it did to me last night. (sigh!) If I only had a choice.

Well anyway, the Ultra60 Information Page will further explain what else are there to look forward to and for those who twit, do check out Charter's Twitter Feed for a real time update.

irresponsible blogging

I've been hearing issues in circle about bloggers and their originally written articles being replicated and posted on somebody else's blog. But just as mere issue as they were, I simply let them pass through one ear to another.

But what I've seen and carefully read this morning was an undeniable, hard evidence of fraudulence. I was so overwhelmed after comparing both articles. Exactly an 84-word paragraph if I'm not mistaken was methodically copied, used in a post and published on the copycat's blog. And a paid post at that? Wow! How dreadful! What more can I say?

I don't want to play worthy here. I admit I sometimes do browse pages for reference in some of the postings I made but hey, what about using your own words or linking back if you feel the need to use others pieces.

Thanks to my source, btw.

... don't plagiarize!

Please copy and share..
.

PLAGIARISM is an unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work.

To the bloggers who exert effort to create noteworthy entries and who continue to maintain a blog which is a reflection of who he/she is, "Good job!
To those who have the desire to blog but are merely scrapping contents from other people's materials, "whether you are monetizing your site to help you with your basic needs or to satisfy some of your wants, do it the proper way. Stop making money out of someone else's work. Otherwise, you are nothing but a common thief!"

Be a responsible blogger... be original!

Thank you!

... my blog is!

Really? Thank you Ms. Lynn for keeping your awards and surprises on the background. Still badly needing that makeover, tho. I appreciate the suggestion but will still have to look for it. Thank you again for this pretty little badge below.

This goes out to Lisa, Amy, Cecile, Sam and G-Anne. Thanks for your friendship ladies. Enjoy your weekend!

.... a year or so since my blog is wearing this layout.

.... 8 months since I bought this blog a domain name of its own.

.... 4 months since I started searching for a new layout and yet until now, I still can't find that look that suits my taste.
I took so much pride dressing up this blog with this template from Pannasmontata because for an amateur blogger this was the first"tedious" editing I've ever did since the advent of my blogging path. That was done somewhere in early 2008 cause I started blogging August 2007 and this was the 3rd layout I use for this blog. I don't want to say I'm getting tired of looking at it because I owe a lot from this template.

But like vehicles needs fuel to keep going, we bloggers needs to get motivated too sometimes to keep posting... and among the things that I believe would inspire us is a whole new pleasant-looking page. So right now, I'm still in desperate search for that next template. Been waiting and checking my source from time to time to drop off new designs but it's been again another week.

I really would appreciate suggestions and link referrals. Kindly post them at the comment section if there's any. Thank you so much ahead!

I'm not quite an animal person until my late father who used to believe that dogs are man's bestfriend brought us home a wonderful puppy one afternoon. We all got excited and I still can recall how everyone wants to eagerly take care of him until he went astray one day and never made his way home again. We all tried to look around the neighbors' but to no avail and it took us several disappointing days to finally let go and just accept the fact that he's already gone.

Insuring safety measures for our puppet is one important lesson we learned out from that experience. I believe this is not just a call for one but to all pet owners as well. In line to this call, the American Humane Association’s Be Kind to Animals Week® was celebrated (May 3-9) supported by Home Again, a national pet recovery center that has helped recover more than 500,000 lost pets in the United States. For every pet registered into their program, Home Again Web Site will donate $1 to www.bringpetshome.com - a fundraising web site specifically created to help shelter animals.

HomeAgain is a comprehensive national pet-recovery service that goes beyond microchipping. For an annual subscription fee, HomeAgain members have telephone access to pet-recovery specialists and 24/7 emergency medical assistance at 1-888-HomeAgain. The program also includes up to $3,000 (less a $50 deductible) in medical pet insurance for lost pets and up to $500 in reimbursable travel expenses for pets found more than 500 miles from home.

Microchipping is a permanent form of identification that cannot fall off or become impossible to read, giving pets the best chance of being reunited with their owners when lost.

It's 10 PM... I have had a long day today but can't even doze to sleep so I decided to watch Miss Philippines Earth 2009 coronation night instead. It's not really in my agenda tonight. I don't even watch any of the pre-pageant activities. No personal bet! Just thinking perhaps watching TV would help wear my eyes out till I start to yawn and hit the sack. Tsk...tsk...tsk...

Hate what I'm feeling inside... it definitely don't do me any good, I know :-(

a mother's love

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:
For cutting the grass: $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the store for you: $.50
Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25
Taking out the garbage: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
Total owed: $14.75
Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:
For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me:
No Charge

For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you:
No Charge

For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years:
No Charge

For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead:
No Charge

For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose:
No Charge

Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is:
No Charge.
When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, "Mom, I sure do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".

On MOTHER'S DAY, if your mom is alive and close to you, give her a big kiss and ask her for forgiveness. If she is far away, call her. if she passed away, pray for her.

night discomfort

I have had a very bad leg cramp last night. When I say bad, I mean real bad and terribly painful that it really made me cry. Imagine feeling such discomfort one leg after the other in the middle of the night? My moaning woke my daughter, Kate up. Though the light was out, I can tell from her voice how she worries for mom. She asked me what's wrong... then she got up and offered her two gentle little hands to rob my legs. Isn't that so sweet?

This morning before I rose from bed, she gave me another round of back and leg massage. For an eight year old hands, she really did it splendidly. I can't thank her enough. She is such an angel.

almost but still not everything

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

~Jeremiah 29:11~

I'm certainly not a Bible reader, to be quite upfront. The last time I opened and flipped a Bible's pages was 2 months ago. I didn't even intend to read it but it was the only thing I can see on top of the small table in one corner of the room where I once stayed for the night and the only thing I can think of to grab and read to ease boredom.

In today's world, we can search almost about everything through the powerful internet. Even the most complex question you could ever imagine, leading search engines always has possible answers quickly delivered right in front of you. And guess what? I don't even had a hard time looking for that passage above. Fact. We live in a technologically-driven world where almost everything are instant.

However, the word is just ALMOST
...not EVERYTHING! There are still a lot of things in this world that requires PATIENCE... and yes, lots of 'em! One of the most valuable virtue which I always believe and think I don't have. But actually, there is. If not, I could have taken the closest route to get to the place where I wanna be or win the things I so much wanted to have in life in no time. Sure, you can never google why we have to wait instead of taking the shortest wrong way. Search Engines cannot give you the reason why you failed at some instances. It can't tell you exactly why you to have to shed tears for every misfortunes you get... for every agony you feel. You may cry out at the loudest from the top of your lungs millions of so frustrating "WHYs"... but what is destined is sure to happen and what is not will never be.

Though, I believe there is always a reason for everything as many people say.
And if things don't turn out the way we wanted them to be, verses from the Bible like what's written above would somehow explains us why. We only have to look. Small amount of time for a better and much more logical understanding of life and its spices.

How well can you handle failure? When hunches to your favor switches and will turn the other way around? I bet some are courageous enough to tell themselves "it's ok" or "well, maybe it's not really meant to be".

How simple and brave! I wish I embrace that kind of attitude too.

But it's been 12 days and still counting. Never been easy but I am trying to convince myself that there are some realities in life I can never change. And what other choice do I have than to start anew, move on with life and let that dream I once had and I so long to happen just drift away.

As per rule... you will never know what chances you have in life unless you do something. Well, I did. Went to place I've never been...successfully tried to take my chance and failed!

But I believe people succeed through failures. Not once, not twice but as many as it gets till we find another opportunity to begin something more intelligently.
